I have an XPHome laptop and an XPHome PC, on a lan &
sharing the PC's ADSL line. Both contain shareable
folders, and the PC has shareable printers. The PC can
see the laptop's shared folders, and open them.
The laptop can use the PC's shared printers, and also see
the PC's shared folders.
However, it can't open them- "\\XX\YYYY is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. ... Not enough server storage is
available to process this command."
When I look at the laptop from the laptop (Run \\laptop)
and try to open its own shared folders, I get exactly the
same comment.
When I search the MS knowledge base for this comment, I
get no hits.
I'm very keen that the laptop should see the PC, because
my backup scheme (using DriveImage 7 to a large disc on
the PC) depends on this.
Any ideas?
My current email by the way is as above but at
dsl.pipex.com- I didn't quote it above for fear of mail
address strippers.
