Now this is cute. Restart the PC, start Internet Explorer,
type a URL (any, I've tried dozens), hit Enter and the PC
instantly reboots. No warning, no message, no shutdown,
just reboots of its own accord. This happens about 1 in 5
times I use Internet Explorer.
The other 4 times it works just fine for several hours,
then for no reason seems to lose its connection to the
Internet. All URLs just time out. Outlook can't retrieve
emails. The only fix is to Restart the PC, which results
in one of the two conditions above!
All of this started once I bought a new PC a few days ago.
The new PC is obstensibly just faster than the old one
(2.6ghz vs 1.44) with the same software suite.
Any ideas?
