Recommendations for payware or freeware trojan remover?
I'm presently using NOD32 for virus protection but don't
know if it is equal to the task of detecting/removing trojans.

AdAware (adware and spyware remover, free):

Someone will probably post the link to TDS-3 which I don't have.

Neither Spybot SD nor AdAware really specialize in the detection and removal
of trojans. AFAIK, they are primarily targeting spyware only. For Trojans,
you should look to tools like: TrojanHunter (http://www.misec.net/), ewido
(http://www.ewido.net/en/), a-squared
(http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/), TDS-3
(http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php), and/or BOClean
(http://www.nsclean.com/boclean.html).

Save your money. Both The Cleaner and Tauscan missed trojans on my machine.
Norton AntiVirus found and cleaned them.

In my experience, TrojanHunter and ewido have both found trojans that NAV
has missed. BTW, ewido is >free<. I saw a system just last week that had NAV
installed, resident, and current on which I downloaded and ran ewido. Ewido
found 13 active trojan variants. Spyware Search & Destroy and Ad-aware (both
free< as well) found an additional 200+ -- each -- set of spyware/tracking
cookie problems on this machine. Yeah, save your money... NAV is all anyone
needs. LOL!

Ewido detected a file connect with Second Copy 2000 as a trojan?
The file in question is ExitSC.exe

It is used to exit Second Copy 2000, i can't believe it's a trojan, or
was detected as one.

That was enough to put me off Ewido permanently. What other valid files
would it recommend i delete??

And the fact that the "Plus" version isn't available yet makes me wonder
if it is even a finished product!
