I think I found out why it is happing but not the solution.
I am trying to run thisworkbook.path from a template.
If that is why I cant find the path from thisworkbook.path then how ca
I

How are the users creating the new file from the template?

If they're doing it themselves (File|New), then you're out of luck. Excel
doesn't keep track of what template created the workbook.

If you're creating the file in code, then you should know where you got the
template.
