Pasting Screenshots in PPT

When I paste a screenshot in a PPT, the image is larger
than the borders of the slide. I have to resize the
screenshot image to be the same size as the border. Since
I capture many slides, this resizing is bothersome.

Is there a way to ensure that a pasted screenshot is the
same size as the borders of the slide, or alternatively,
is there a way to quickly resize the screenshot to fit
within the slide border (i.e. with a single mouse click).
I use Powerpoint 2000 SP-3.

Thank you.

Glenna,

I am familiar with how to use PrintScreen and paste the
image. I'm trying to find a way to paste the image without
the need to go back in and resize it. I'd like the pasted
image to exactly fit the borders of the slide.

You can't. If you want it exact, your going to have to paste into a paint
program, size the image to your presentation size, save as an image file of
choice, then insert picture form file.

You can come close, by changing your screen resolution to 1024x768 pasting from
this resolution will give you a little smaller image then the 10x7.5 default
presentation page size.

There is, and it's free.

If you use the Pick Up Position tool with nothing selected, it memorizes the
slide size. Then when you use the "Hammer" on a newly inserted image, it
resizes it to fill the slide. Control Click either tool to set sizing and
positioning options first.

Hello,

Hello,

This is possible when Inserting images (Photo Album feature), but for
pasting, PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking
for without resorting to VBA or add-ins.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality (without having to resort to
VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
