Pasting in Word 2003 - font is wrong!

A paste question. I use Word 2003 and I have everything set at Verdana with
size 10 BUT when I paste onto this sheet I always end up with size 9 or
sometimes another print font. This is for a letter form that I use on a
daily basis
Can someone advise how I could set this so that it always pastes in 10?
