When does this happen?
Are you copying from one application to another application--including two
separate instances of excel?
Does it happen if you open the first workbook, then File|open the second? Or
only when you double click on file in Windows explorer?
If you're opening multiple instances of excel and you don't want to anymore,
maybe one of these will help:
Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver
The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets the windows registry to excel's
factory defaults.
An alternative might be to do:
Try Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it)
(And multiple instances of excel is different than enabling xl2k and xl2002's
windows in taskbar viewing option.)
