Paste damages formula in autofilter

Ok so I have an autofilter database like so:

adam apple HR | 1
brad biddle IT | 1
charlie crombie IT | 1
| 0

The | is where the pane is frozen. The left pane is edited by users an
the right pane contains 1's and 0's (calucated from formula's) which ar
protected and used in some macro's I use.

The problem is if someone cuts out a row on the left and pastes i
somewhere below then all the formula's around it change even if I us
absolute references. So how do I stop pasting affecting the formula's

not much chances but changing the formulas. Could you post your
existing formulas
