Past date in column to change color

I'd like to have my excel sheet columns with the dates to change to a
specific color as the date pass's. I've racked my brain thinking of how.
Anyone??

Format > Conditional Formatting

Then assign colors based on criteria you define, say, greater than Date+30,
then format color as green (or whatever you wish). Be aware you can only use
three conditional formats per cell.
