Hi

I am having a strange problem with a couple of internet sites that I use
passwords to login to. For some reason I cannot login to these sites it is
really weird for example I go to my works OWA and type in my user and
computer name and IE just refreshes the page like I never typed anything in.
If I do the same thing from a different different computer on the network it
works fine. It is only on the one computer and only happens on certain
sites. I am running windows 2000 with all updates and the latest service
packs applied.

Ant thoughts on what could be the problem

Thanks

Hi Jan,

I connect to the net using IE 6 and a proxy server.
My proxy server prompts for login credentials every time a new instance of
IE is opened. - Fine.

The dialog has an check box, "save password" or equivalent and if checked
then for every new instance of IE, the proxy dialog prompts with the last
used value.

This saved password is stored in my "protected storage" and is it managed by
the Local Security Authority ?

Thanks,

Victor

Hi Victor :-)

Not sure how we wound up down here, but....ok. :-)

What exactly is/isn't happening? Is it not saving the password properly?
Is it continuing to prompt you for a password after you have entered it?
Does it say the password is not valid? What are you doing, or tying to do,
when the problem happens? I think I am a bit confused on this part. :-))
