A colleague of mine recently went on vacation and didn't
leave his password for his machine. We are currently
trying to find out what is wrong with the software he uses
but cannot gain access to his computer. I've tried the
ctl-alt-del twice but I think he set up his admin account
on that account. Any suggestions? This is the only day
the technician from the vendor can come out so we really
need to get on his computer.

the only possible way around a network pw is to reset the
jumpers and reconfig that machine in setup. it's not
easy. not to be rude but if you had to ask, i don't
recommend it. i think his proggys will be fine until he
gets back, "from vacation".

Yeah we didn't want to do that, because of issues with our
computer department. Was really just trying to find a
quick around without doing anything to anger anyone.

you understood, my apologies. with my tail between my
legs...i'll say yes, network pw's are the hardest to
crack. the only other thing i can suggest is a default
U:p. USER:pASSW0RD ('0' is numerical).

lol, yeah I understood. I have a couple things other
things I was going to try but they are not "how things are
done" around here. Oh, well, thanks for the help.
