Password

I have XP installed on my desktop and was not aware that
it was password protected, when trying to get on a message
comes up and says Password expired, I tried using a
password I use for everything, didn't work now I am unable
to get beyond the Welcome window and am not able to do
anything, any help would be appreciated, Thanks so much

Login as Administrator (the account You have been asked during the setup process) and then go to ControlCentre -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management (or just run windows\system32\compmgmt.msc /s ) than use the "system tools"-> "users and local groups" -> users-> choose properties of the account that has been disabled and choose option "password never expires". Also go to a standard user management screen and change the account's password. After this You can logout Admin and login normally to this account.

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:
