Password suddenly needed.

I have just installed SP2, all seemed to go well.
Switched off the computor when I switched on some time later a message box
appeared saying "windows update were complete and my computor would restart
in 4.45 mins or would I like to restart it myself which I did.

On restart it asked for a password which I have never set up and do not know
what it is, the same also in safe mode and trying to log on as an
administrator.

Anybody any ideas?

Try leaving the password blank, otherwise something here should help:
