I have a Word XP password protected form. If a user with Office 2003 tries
to open it by using the read only button the following message appears:

Word was unable to read this document. It may be corrupt. try one of the
following:
* open and repair the file.
* open the file with the text recovery converter.

I know the file isn't corrupt because OfficeXP has no issue opening it.
what can I do to allow Office 2003 users to open this form? amy help would
begreatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you try using the "Open and Repair" command found in File/Open
under the Open drop down?

If not then in Word 2003 use the Open and Repair command and open the
form. Save the changes and see if the issue is resolved for both
versions of Word.
