When trying to access shares on the XP Pro I'm getting a
prompt for a password. I have been told that I needed to
create identical username that machines.
I have disabled Simple File Sharing and went to the
Control Panel | User Accounts | and added a new user. The
problem seemed to be fixed.
In Computer Managment, I seen a place under the Local
Users and Groups snap-in where you can add users there as
well. What is the difference between the two?
The users that have been added from the Control Panel
also shows up in the Local User and Group snap-in in
Computer Management.
