Help. I changed the default login on my daughters Vista laptop and type to
standard user, and I created a new Admin account with Admin rights for me.
After creating both and creating adding a new password for the Admin account
I can no longer log in as Admin. At the OS login, the Admin account
immediatly comes up with a message that a new password must be created for
the first time login (???). and attempting to swith users to the Admin when I
was logged in on my daughters user account does not accept the password that
I know I created for the Admin account. There are no other Admin accounts on
the machine (in fact the Asp.net Machine account that was there has
disappeared).

Hello,

if there's nothing that helps, start Vista in Safe mode (press F8 before
Windows starts). Then, you should be able to logon with the in-built account
named Administrator (which doesn't accept a password by default). Then,
change your passwords.
I hope this will work for you. Please report back if it did.

Greetings,
P. Di Stolfo
