Hi
I would be extremely grateful for some help. I bought 2 x idec’s at a
liquidation sale. Windows XP starts in the usual way, but then displays a
window saying “press Ctl-Alt-Delete to begin. It then displays a window
requiring “User nameâ€, which is there, password, which obviously is not, and
“Log on toâ€, which is the unfortunate businesses name.
I am quite happy to format the hard drive and re-load, but I cannot see how
to achieve this.
Please help anyone! Thanks

The procedure for format and reloading depends on the media you have.

If Recovery CDs, check with the computer manufacturer.
Typically started by booting to the first CD.

If the CD is retail, Clean Installation:

If you do not have a CD, check the manual and or the manufacturers website
for procedures, sometimes there is a hidden partition.

If there is no partition or CD, you may need to buy Windows XO is Windows XP
is what you want.
