Hi,
I have an XP Home that I set up 2 users on but neither with a password. I
have never used one of the user accounts so have recently deleted it. I have
also never used a password to log on so the computer has usually just logged
straight onto my default acount desktop. Since I ahve deleted the other user
I now have the computer starting up but a logon box appears with the old
user (that has been deleted) greyed out and another error box appears on top
telling me that the user and password is unavailable now. I click OK and my
account loads up. How can I fix this so that the computer just logs straight
onto my account again.

I have used the Control User Passwords2 command line to log into the users
box but there is no sign in there of the deleted user that still keeps
appearing.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

P.S. I haven't tried the tweakui auto logon feature yet as I would like to
sort this out manually if I can. I like to learn.

Cheers
Lenny

Try this: Start/Settings/control panel/user accounts then try removing the
unwanted user/s.
If it doesnt work, right click on my computer then go to properties. Go to
Advance tab then click on user profiles. You can delete unwanted user accnts
in there also.

Try those first and see if it works. Let us know.

GLuck!
