Password notification

was wondering if there is way or an applet that notifies MAC users, that
their password is due to expire. We have increased the security policies and
have found that the MAC users have not been notified that their password
needed to be reset, so they were locked out of the 2000 AD system. Would
someone tell me how I may resolve this issue.

Someone might have written the whole thing already but I don't know where it
is at. If you go to www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter you will find
scripts to do all the various bits, you just need to put it all together. I
also highly recommend the Active Directory Cookbook by Robbie Allen.
