Passprop Identification

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how can I verify if passprop /adminlockout has been run
on 2003 DC's. What change does it make to the registry. Our default admin
account is getting locked out across the network and no one is owning up to
it. I am not concerned in finding out who it was I just want to verify that
it was run, so I can close the issue. I can't find any information from MS
on what changes it actually makes.

Thanks

If you run "passprop" it will tell if admin account has been configured to be locked
out or not. It is available at link below. I do not know of a particular registry key
to look for. I can not ever recall reading that the built in admin account can be
lockout out in XP/W2003 but according to a good source as discussed din the second
link it can which may be new default behavior in W2003. I have not tested it myself
yet. --- Steve
