| thanks, it's for a group of high school students

Although this isn't Pascal related,
there is a current thread in comp.lang.python
with the subject teaching programming to children
that you may find interesting ....

The following links for a SmallTalk environment
called Squeak also look very interesting
for teaching programming to young ones ....

fgphotog ....

You're welcome ....

The SmallTalk/Squeak environment seemed so interesting,
to me that I downloaded and installed it myself ....

http://www.squeak.org/
[ download : 11.1 MB ] [ Installed : ~35 MB ]

There is NO hard-core installation,
just Un-Zip and click on the Squeak.exe file
to fire it up ....

There is a LOT of stuff available through the Squeak package
and the gee-whiz factor may be enough to influence young
programmers while they learn to write object oriented
SmallTalk code in the Integrated Development Environment ....

My initial impressions are VERY favorable,
and after seeing the Squeak package,
I wish I had looked at SmallTalk a LONG time ago ....
