Partition Corrupt - Can I save any data

Derek

Hi folks,

My NTFS partition has got corrupted and my machine wouldn't boot. Moved the
disk to a working machine as the secondary disk and Windows sees the disk as
healthy but with an unknown (RAW) partition.

Is there any way I can turm this back into an NTFS partition to recover my
data, or failing that can you recommend any utilities to recover data before
I re-format it.

Many thanks in advance,
Derek

I've successfully used Stella Phoenix in the past
(http://www.stellarinfo.com/) to recover deleted files and data from a
corrupted disk. It will recover from a RAW partition.

There are a few free/shareware ones out there which you could try first.
