parasite on my PC? 'biasarmy'

I have recently noticed that a new toolbar
called 'biasarmy' is working in Internet Explorer. I
didn't download it and I don't know how to get rid of it.
I don't know if it has any thing to do with it but I also
noticed that my homepage always uses something
called 'prosearch'. This seems to have placed another
toolbar on the bottom of my screen and has also place
shortcuts on my desktop.
Any advice on getting rid of these would be appreciated.

Look in Add & Remove Programs in the Control Panel for anything like what
you are seeing, if found click on it and remove it.
Then download and run a spy sweeper

Then run a complete virus scan (here is a free one)

thanks, I didn't see anything in add/remove that looked

like it corisponded to the toolbars. I ran norton and it
didn't find anything either.

Don't run Norton. Get a program called AVG.
http://www.grisoft.com I used both Norton & Symantec. I
let this program run and it found 80 virusi.

Do get that program Ad-Aware. I use it along side with
AVG. It will find tracking cookies, browser hijacks, etc.
You will be amazed how much spyware is acutally on your
computer. Once that is run through, clean it all out and
restart your computer. You will find it running leaner
