Parameter Like ....."*" A97

I have a query that takes the parameters from a form, e.g. Like [Forms]![frm
LookupMadatoryTraining]![txtTrainingTitle] & "*" This works great when the
form is open before I run the query. However, I want to use the same query
with another form and not have the frm LookupMandatoryTraining open. When I
do this, I get a prompt for Enter Paramenter value with Forms.frm above the
entry line. I think this is new, think it worked otherwise and it should
since the Like ..."*" allows for no entries. Any help is appreciated.

You can open the form invisible and set the value of text box.
I rarely place any criteria in a query that needs value changes.
