parameter boxes

I would like to open a report on prices for a certian product by choosing the
product from a drop-down list instead of using a parameter box. I have
managed to get the combo-box on a form, with a command button linking to the
report. My problem is, no matter what product I choose from the combo-box,
access brings up the report for the same product (which is not the one I
selected). Does anyone know why this is happening? or possibly a better way
to do this?
