Parallel Ribbon Cable

I was wanting to build a parallel cable to extend an old webcam that I have
about 15 metres from the computer. Does anyone happen to know what
properties the cable needs to have (apart from being 25 conductor and having
connectors on the ends of course)? Will pretty much any 25 conductor ribbon
cable I can find in an electronics catalogue do the trick?

If anyone happens to know a DigiKey part number for the right kind, please
do tell me.

Are you talking about 25 conductor centronics type ends cable? The longest
I've ever seen is 25 feet or about 8 meters. Even at that length they
sometimes don't work depending on the quality of the cable, ends and signal
strength. Your talking about 3 times that distance. MY guess is the cost
of the cable and ends will exceed the cost of a camera that uses wiring
that's guaranteed to work.
