I have a problem trying to install from the cover disc from issue 69
windowsxpdvd but keep getting the following message.
Please uninstall pc-cillin antivirus programme which i deleted some time ago
and i can no longer find it on my laptop.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

If you have removed Panda then maybe some of the stuff has been left behind indicating
that it may still be installed.

If you are trying to install Panda software DON'T! It won't
play well with your system and their tech support is
useless.

Here is my take on their programs. I installed it as a
"free" 1 year bundled install when I installed another
program. It worked and updated fine for that year. Since
my computers were all running Trend PC-cillin and that
license was going to expire, I decided to purchase a current
5 license pack for Panda. On all of the systems I
uninstalled PC Cillin and cleaned the registry of all Trend
and PC Cillin references. I installed Panda on all the
systems. Ran fine for about 5 months then one by one each
system had problems updating the antivirus and the antivirus
portion of the program would not load except on a total
reboot. Eventually all 5 systems failed to run the
antivirus portion even after many reboots..

I ran various online antivirus checkers (Nortons, Pandas and
Trend Micro's) and the systems remained free of all malware.
Panda's tech support kept telling me to uninstall PC Cillin.
Eventually they told me to download their uninstall utility
and run it then reinstall Panda. Followed these
instructions many times. Well, eventually I totally
reformatted one of the machines (Server) and installed Panda
as the first and only program other than the OS. After 2
days it failed to update and the AV portion failed to start.
Since I had 2 years left on the license, I asked for
assistance and none was forthcoming. I then asked for a
pro-rated refund on my purchase since they were unable to
help and that is when I have failed to receive ANY further
response to my emails for assistance to refund. Their
telephone support is also non-existent.
