look for the program here:
%SystemRoot%\System32\mspaint.exe
creat a shortcut and place in in your startup folder.
If you don't have mspaint.exe go to control
panel>add/remove programs>add/remove windows components
(on right hand side)> accessories and
utilities>details>accessories>details.
on the bottom there should be a check mark next to paint.
check it if it isn't, then ok your way back, then next.
It should install. You may need your XP CD.

double pick on any picture file
picture/fax viewer opens
pick on edit icon (between 'diskette' and 'help')
paint opens

Using Paint

Open Paint.
