pagination

While working in a 40 page Word document, the documet starts pagination and
ends with 32,000 blank pages inserted. It seems to do this where a Text box
with a drawing is inserted into the document. How do I prevent Word from
doing this and how do I delete these pages?

That's a document corruption, commonly associated with graphics or drawing
objects. Don't try to fix it. Create a new document and copy the content,
excluding the textbox and the final paragraph mark, from the old. Save that.
Re-create the graphic in a different document, and when you're confident
it's stable copy it over to the new document.
