Pagefile.sys will not stay moved..

Hello

Ok getting right into it.. I right click my computer and
go to properties>> advanced>> Performance>> settings>>
virtual memory click on change If I delete my pagefile on
C: and create a new one on X: (local drive) reboot the
system will never use the one on X: it recreates it on C:
with the minmium settings. How do I fix it. Oh yes this
machine was built by me but the install is OEM and I
bought all hw from a mom and pop pc shop MS online support
tells me I have OEM to go to the manufacturer for support
and well I have exhausted all my knowledge.... PLEASE help
this 1.0 gig Page file eats up space if I create it on C:

Hi Nick

You will need to leave a small Pagefile on the system drive. Some programs will look for the pagefile - whatever size it is - on the system drive. Without it, they won't run. Have a look at the following article by MVP Alex Nichol:

Are you clicking on the "Set" button after making your
change?
