pagefile.sys to large?

MIKE CLIFFORD

I have XP Pro, with 768 MB of Ram. My pagefile.sys is 1.12GB big. This
seems like it is to large. Can someone let me know if it is too big, and if
I delete it will windows make a new one? Thanks.

The suggested pagefile.sys is 1.5 times your memory but the more memory you
have the less the pagefile.sys is needed. You can adjust your pagefile.sys
to the size you want. Right click on my computer>properties>advanced tab
and performance options and then put in a file size.I have run on 350 MB but
it really depends on how you are using your computer.

Read up at my page www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm

Yes it is too big. I'd follow the guidance to set an initial size of
100 MB and leave the max size where it is, then see what happens in your
specific work pattern
