Hello,

Is there any guideline as to how much one should keep the pagefile for their
system. I know the recommended thing is 1.5 times the amount of RAM and
twice for maximum.

Is there something wrong just to keep as much as one wants if there is
sufficient hard disk space on the machine?

Thanks and Regards

That was never a good rule - but became the conventional wisdom. How
much you need depends on your workload - but the actively needed amount
for a given load goes *down*, not up as you increase RAM. See my
discussion at www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm
