I have Vista Home Basic on my laptop with 2 gigs of RAM, Should I let
windows set it or should I do it manually for best results?

Let Windows manage the paging file.

You could probably save a little disk space by managing it yourself
(*if* you did it wisely), but you couldn't improve performance at all.
Unless disk space is very tight, most people are probably best off by
letting Windows manage it.

Let Windows control the virtual memory swapfile for best results.

Thanks for everyone's reply
