If I use page transition on my web pages will it affect
my sites rankings on the search engines. I thought I read
somewhere that page transition could stop the search
spider from doing its job. I use FP 2002 and Windows XP.
This seems very unlikely.
It's true that the page transition information resides in
a <meta> tag, and that search engine keywords also reside
in <meta> tags. But there are lots of other <meta> tags in
use as well, and any good search engine will simply ignore
the ones it doesn't care about.
That said, there are a lot of search engines in the world,
and who knows what they all look for? At some point, you
just have to design your site.
Personally, I avoid page transitions, but for other
reasons: they're gimmicky, they slow down the visitor, and
they only work in IE.
