PAGE SOURCE SETTINGS

HI,

I've got a strange problem with word97. We've got some win9x pc and some
new winxp pc's. When I save the page settings in word97 on win9x pc to tray
2, and tray 1. It shows up on the xp pc & word 97 with both trays being
autoselect.

Now, if i switch the trays on the winxp to tray 2, tray 1 , the win9x pcs
load the document and have autoselect trays set for the first and other trays.

Hope there is a solution to this problem.

Do the Win 9X PCs and the XP OS PCs use the same printer driver? I'd say,
probably not! That might explain the differing behaviour on the different OS.

yes, they are each using the hp4300 laserjet pcl 6 driver for the o/s they
are on.

I've tried the pcl5e driver too. nothing seems to work.

HI, I JUST TRIED THIS WITH OUR OLD 4050 HP PRINTER DRIVER ON EACH PC (WIN9X/
WIN XP) AND THEY PAGE SOURCE SETTINGS REMAIN UNCHANGED BETWEEN PCS. THE 4300
HP LASERJET DRIVERS IS SCREWING THINGS UP.

I'VE CONTACTED HP REGARDING THIS. HOPEFULLY THEY HAVE A SOLUTION.

The driver may have the same name, but it will not be the same driver if it
is running under a different operating system.
