Page saved as "Web Page Complete" is not displayed correctly

Hi,
I have the same problem. When I view a web page that I
have saved onto disk (using file-save complete web page),
none of the images show up. Yet if I use Mozilla they
do. Did any of you get that free Playboy 50th anniversary
disk? I get javascript errors and no pictures. Again it
works fine in another browser. I have been through all of
MS Knowledgebase articles. I have used their procedure to
reinstall windows to get back IE5.0 (by deleting
iemigrate.dll, registry modifications, etc. NOT a complete
reformat-install) then it works fine. Update to IE5.5,
problem. Install IE6.0 problem. Same with IE6.1. My
suspicion is that it is one of the security patches, the
one's that cannot be uninstalled. I recall reading that
this would surface after the patch and IE6 SP1 was
supposed to fix. Well it didn't. I installed the latest
JavaVM.

If I can't figure it out I may just change my default
browser but I like this better. Better mouse support, etc.
By the way I have Win98SE.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have the same problem.

as who? ;) If you want to reply to a thread use the Reply button.
if I use Mozilla they do.

Does this mean that Mozilla is showing you what IE saved or what it saved?

Does using the File Save as, Web Archive (.mht) option work any better?

Or try sending it to OE and saving it there. You can override the
Save As... .eml with an extension of .mht. IE doesn't seem
to mind which application saved it when it's an archive.

Good luck
