"Page protector needed" error on LaserJet 2100M

Just installed 64 MB of additional memory in LJ2100M. Original error was "Out
of memory", which now is gone, to be replaced by "Page protector needed"
error when attempting to print.

Test page (pressing * holding buttons on the printer) prints fine. HP driver
is the latest, downloaded and installed.

Connected via AppleTalk via an Ethernet-to-AppleTalk adapter. But this is not
new; it has always worked.

Ideas?

Ideas?

Posting the same thing over and over isn't going to make it more likely
that someone will help you. To the contrary, it's going to get more
people to killfile you and/or tell you to piss off.

Posting the same thing over and over...

Humble apologies to all. My news server (news.readfreenews.net) is not
serving up current posts. Checking for new messages gets "No new news"
instead of "server not responding".

So I thought it was a problem with my posting reaching the server. Not!

I'm usually pretty good about diagnosing problems with my news service, but
this one got by me.
