page numbers

I can not get the page number to go away on the bottom
right hand corner of the page. Please, help.

View | Header and Footer. Click on the page number. Make sure that you see
the hashed frame border, then press Delete. For more, see

More than likely they were inserted using Insert/Page Number. This
inserts the Page number in a Frame and it can be difficult to work
with.

- Go to View/Header and Footer
- Switch to the Footer
- Click next to the page number and the Frame should appear
- Click the Frame to select it and press Delete
