Page Numbering

I am creating a manual. The contents of the manual includes a Table of
Contents at the beginning (duh!), then 4 chapters and Appendix A to Apendix
F. I am numbering each of the chapters, IE: 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-1, etc. I want
to number my Appendices A-1, A-2, etc. Can someone please help me figure out
how to do the Appendices? Every thing else is numbered the way I want them
to be but, every time I try to number the Appendices, it changes all of the
numbers or all of the Appendices are numbered the same. IE: A-1, A-1, A-1....
HELP!!! This is really frustrating me.
