Page number adjustments

I currently have a PPT with title slides at the beginning of each new
subject. Without manually numbering all the slides in this presentation how
can I number some slides without numbering others and not have PowerPoint
count the title slide in the slide count for page numbering (e.g. Title
slide, slide 1, slide 2, title slide, slide 3, slide 4)?

I recommend breaking it into separate presentations and creating a menu slide.
