I have resently encountered a problem using IE 6 with sp2.

When on a page that opens a new window to say a program or even sometimes
just an HTML page I get a blank window with no back or stop buttons. Then to
see the page I have to hit the ESC key and right click on the page and hit
refresh. At that point the page will show up.

Any suggestions would be great.

Hi John :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

IE6 opens blank/empty/seethrough windows or have to refresh to see contents

also...

Go to Start>Run> and register the following dll's by using
regsvr32 command. Try the first 2, then see if it resolves the problem. If
not then register the rest of the .dll's:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll?
regsvr32 actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 scrrun.dll?
regsvr32 msxml.dll?
regsvr32 mshtml.dll?
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll?
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll?

If that doesn't work, then check out the following article and do the
additional steps outlined
there:
