Page loading extremely slow

I have 2MB broadband yet i am waiting ages for any pages to load!!!
is there a simple reason for this or is it something to do with ISP??

I have 12Mbit and the same problem..
The only thing I so far found was this link, But I havn't been able to test
it myself.

But I have tried to reinstall IE6 SP1 or WinXP SP2 witout success, so now I
can't do a smock..
My problem is that some images (on websites with many images) take minutes
to load.

If it's a satellite connection, this is known and not fixable. It involves
the time spent going up and down through the satellite to communicate with
the Web page server, called lag time.
