page include updating

Lauren

i just added a new folder to my website that includes the htm pages for a
training packet. these pages pull a page include sidenav bar file that
resides outside of the training packet folder. the training packet files
are not refreshing the newly added link, but showing a distorted image. the
rest of the site updated just fine. i have tried resaving the html file and
images from image ready and also tried opening the sidenav bar in frontpage,
made a change to it saved it, reopened it and saved it back again. the only
thing i have found to work is to open every page of the training packet in
frontpage, save it and close it. the problem is the training packet is 271
pages! is there any other way to get these updates to refresh?

thanks,

lauren

Hi, Lauren~

Are you using DWT's?

Are you doing your updates on your local system and publishing after the
changes are made?

What version of FrontPage are you using?

Is the web published so that we may view the problem, and if so, where?

Is the this new folder, a folder or a subweb / subsite? If this folder is subweb / subsite, then The
FP include will not work as it web specific, and subweb / subsite are completely independent web
site under a FP root web.

Perhaps you are having the problems because you are copying your changes
rather than publishing your changes... Do the updates work on your local
hard drive but not on the intranet?

You must publish, not copy.
