page goes black after playing file

I have a page that links to a pdf file that points to a music file, that
when click, will play in Windows Media Player (WMP). After the music plays,
I close WMP. Then the page goes blank, instead of returning to the pdf
page. The pdf page is password protected. Is this why it doesn't display
again?

I'm not sure how to beat this.

Now you've really confused me. It's not a pdf. It's a song that plays
(from the site), in windows media player and when the song is done, I close
it, but then screen goes blank instead of returning to the page where the
song was posted.
