I often got this pop up message from windows2000 that says
I don't have page file or page file is too small. Also
another pop up that says virtual memory is too low. I
followed the instruction to increase from control panel
but still got the message. what should I do?

Try creating another paging file on another hard drive and
deleting the one that you have. If necessary, then
reverse the process to place it back where it was.
However, the paging file should not be on the same drive
partition where the operating system files are located.

its also possible that your system does not have rights to the local H
to use the page file setup. Right click the HD in My Computer, in th
properties menu click tab Security. You should see SYSTEM listed wit
full rights to the drive. I found at one point my computer didnt sho
SYSTEM in the security menu, and thus I had the exact problem you
facing now
