page fault

my computer keeps crahing as I try to leave windowsxp
professional.

It leaves the following message.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

can anybody help.

I run a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX440 with AGP8X graphics card.
I also am trying to work on Autocad2002L but it keeps
crashing can anybody shed any light on my problems.
I'm desperate.

The Non Paged area is used for central system code that may never be
paged out to the page file. Parts of the system itself are unlikely to
cause these faults, unless there is damage to the software, or bad RAM.
But some other third party things push themselves in there - my
suspicions would center on Norton SystemWorks, or other 'Norton' product

It is *just* possible that it might arise from video drivers, at the
point where they 'switch off - so a check at www.nvidia.com for the
latest drivers that *they* provide as their recommendation for Windows
XP would be worth trying
