I replaced stock cooler with Zalman 7700 Copper unit on this board a couple
weeks ago. Peak temp of CPU went down from 72C to 63C on my 3.6 Prescott.

The 1008 and 1009 BIOS really crank up the heat for this board. If you
want to run version 1004 the heat will drop about 10 degrees C. I
installed the Thermaltake Jungle 512, which was the CPU cooler from the
Maximum PC Magazine Dream Machine 2004. I can remember how much it
lowered my temps, but it was a significant difference. I must warn you
that the noise from this CPU cooler is incredibly loud! After living
with the noise for a month I purchased the Zalman TNN 500AF fanless
case and I love it. Fanless computing is awesome and silent. Zalman
tech support has been incredibly helpfull and they have put in as much
time as I have working on some issues. This case is so new that nobody
really knows how all the components out there will work in it and some
adjustments need to be made sometimes.

I am using a P5AD2 Premium & P4 3.6

My goodness, 63C. And to think, I was worried about my 2.4B Northwood
staying at 41C even with the addition of a 2nd case fan...
