P4S800 no recognizing CD/DVD Drives. HELP!

Just installed a P4S800 with a P4 2.6 chip and all is working well. Then, a
day after install, my secondary IDE controller is apparently not even seeing
my DVD drive or my CD/RW drive. I've tried changing jumper settings (master
and slave) and even putting them both on the cable setting, but I still get
nothing. I've even tried a brand new IDE ribbon, but nothing seems to work.

Has the controller gone bad, perhaps?

Can I string all 4 (I have 2 hard drives) devices on the primary IDE
controller? This might be a work-around, but still, the secondary
controller should be working.

Any assistance is appreciated. I filled out the support form on the Asus
website on Monday, but I've still received no reply.
