P4P800S audio problem

Buliding new PC with P4P800S board, Installed with Windows XP professional.
I cannot get the OS to see the oo-board sound.... XP says there is no audio.
Do I have to turn this on on the BIOS?
I dont see any reference to the sound in the BIOS
I installed all the drivers that ASUS supplied but still no sound.
Do i have a defective board?

Have you checked the download page at Asus ? Compare the drivers
list on there, to the ones you've installed:

Note the network choking, three part install for the AD1888 codec! 53MB.
