P4P800 - Prevent IDE disks from taking over boot duty

I have no problem booting from my sata disk, unless I swap one of the
IDE disks out. Inevitably the IDE becomes the boot disk till I reconfig
the system bios (latest rev) so that the sata disk is listed as the
first disk. Isn't there a way to set it so that the sata disk remains
first in the disk order and thus keeps it's boot disk status?
